Livery and Awards Banquet

The Carmen held their Livery and Awards Banquet at Mansion House on Wednesday 14th March 2019.  In attendance were the Master, Stephen Britt, the Wardens,  Simon Bennett and Peter Cordrey. The Lord Mayor's Representative for the evening was Alderman Ian Luder. The Guest speaker was the Transport for London Commissioner Mike Brown MVO, who was accompanied by his wife Barbara.

It is customary at this event to present the Company’s prestigious Transport Awards.  These well deserved awards rewarded excellence in several aspects of the Transport industry.  They were much appreciated both by the recipients and the Carmen present.

The Environmental Award went to Will Butler-Adams from Bompton Bicycles. The Herbert Crow Award went to The BESTT Trust. The Sir Henry Royce Memorial Award went to Ricard plc and the Carmen's Award of Merit went to Network Rail.

There were speeches from the Master, Lord Mayor's Representative, Senior Warden and  the principal guest, Mike Brown, who also proposed the traditional Company toast:

'The Worshipful Company of Carmen, Root and Branch,
may it Continue and Flourish forever'.
