Awards for young people
The Transport Design Award encourages proposed transport design research at graduate or fellowship level.
The Carmen's Sword of Honour is given to the young officer selected by the Royal Logistic Corps as the most outstanding of the year.
The Carmen's RAF Cup recognises the best student officer for the preceding year attending the Movements School.
The Carmen's Royal Navy Cup goes to the outstanding officer pan-Navy within logistics, covering Navy, Marines, and Fleet Auxiliary.
The Carmen's Engineering Apprentice of the Year is for the outstanding apprentice nominated by the Society of Operating Engineers.
The Carmen's Transport Apprentice of the Year is for the best advanced apprentice nominated by the Road Haulage & Distribution Industry Training Board.
In 2004 awards were increased to include;
Soldier of the Year Award for the outstanding Royal Logistic Corps young man or woman on first tour, any trade background;
RAF Movements School NCO judged top of all annual courses;
Driver of the Year Award for the outstanding driver within 2 Mechanical Transport Squadron RAF, and
24 Squadron RAF Carmen's Cup for outstanding commitment to the Squadron.
In 2006 these were joined by the Royal Navy Medal for all other ranks pan Navy in logistics.
