Livery and Awards Banquet

The Carmen held their Livery and Awards Banquet at Mansion House on Tuesday 10th March 2020.  In attendance were the Master, Colonel Simon Bennett, the Junior Warden, Nick Laister. The Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress were in attendance as were the Sheriffs. The Guest speaker was Leon Daniels OBE.

It is customary at this event to present the Company’s prestigious Transport Awards.  These well deserved awards rewarded excellence in several aspects of the Transport industry.  They were much appreciated both by the recipients and the Carmen present.

The VIVA Award went to Tfl for the Four Lines Modernisation Project. The Environmental Award went to Oxford City Council in association with Pivot Power. The Herbert Crow Award went to Carman Allison Kemp. The Award of Merit went to Carman Andrew Savage and the Carmen's Special Award went to The Ffestiniog and Welsh Highlands Project.

There were speeches from the Master, The Lord Mayor, Junior Warden and  the principal guest, Leon Daniels OBE, who also proposed the traditional Company toast:

'The Worshipful Company of Carmen, Root and Branch,
may it Continue and Flourish forever'.
